Where is a good picnic spot near Farnborough to take a lovely woman on a third date?
I am organising a third date and think a good old fashionned picnic would be a great idea!!
I am not local to farnborough and would like some helpfull suggestions of places near to farnborough, fleet or bracknel that would be idea for such an occasion.
Plus some food ideas!
Winkworth Arboretum, Surrey for Impressive displays of spring flowers
This beautiful woodland, owned by the National Trust, has a car park and kiosk where you can buy a leaflet that tells you about many of the trees. The arboretum sweeps down to a lake, where there’s an old boathouse with info on the local flora and fauna. You can picnic anywhere – the canopy of leaves will keep the sun at bay.
Headley Heath, Surrey
Lying on the summit plateau of the North Downs, this has wide, open heathland and some wooded areas where deer roam free. There are picnic tables by the car park, but it’s better to have a ramble first, spying on the prehistoric-looking highland cattle, before laying out your picnic rug.
or Box Hill, or further south the New Forest, and the Dorset Coast, or a trip to Brownsea island in Poole harbour…
or you could park up by Fleet Pond 
For food ideas?
well, champagne, strawberries, cucumber sandwiches (crusts cust off with butter and a little salt), fresh made cakes, smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels, a flask of hot tea, scones, cream and jam, crips, cheese straws, a selection of cheeses cut into manageable sections with a selection of crackers and chutneys….
the world is your oyster….
dont forget a good picnic blanket too… john lewis sell good ones which have a plasticised back which stop any damp coming through…
and maybe a spare check picnic blanket to huddle/cuddle under if it turns a little chilly…
